Rhinoplasty is one of the most common forms of cosmetic surgery.
But perhaps you’re nervous about surgically altering the most prominent feature of your face. In that case, a non-surgical rhinoplasty can give you similar results to a surgical procedure but without the recovery times of surgery.
It’s a great way to “try out” a new look without making permanent changes. Dr Joseph Rizk has performed numerous non-surgical Rhinoplastys over the years and helped many women and men improve their confidence through liquid rhinoplasty. He and his team of professionals at White Hill Clinic in Sydney are ready and waiting to help you.
A non-surgical Rhinoplasty (also known as “Liquid Rhinoplasty”) is a non-surgical method used to reshape the nose.
This procedure uses dermal fillers to fill out hollow areas and smooth over bumps you don’t want to see anymore. The filler material is injected into targeted areas along and around the nose to create a more aesthetically pleasing profile.
Liquid rhinoplasty is significantly less extensive than a surgical rhinoplasty, so it’s best suited for making relatively minor changes. It can’t reduce the size of your nose, but it can help smooth out the contours of your nose, giving your face a balanced, symmetrical appearance.
Dr Rizk performs all of his non-surgical rhinoplasty procedures at his White Hill Clinic in Sydney, usually in about 30 minutes. They are done as outpatient procedures, meaning you’ll be able to go home immediately following your treatment. Further, they require very little anesthesia, so you don’t have to worry about being disoriented and needing to arrange a ride home. The first thing Dr Rizk will do is gently numb the skin of your nose using a topical or regional anesthetic. He will then use a syringe and needle to inject the filler in various places under the skin around your nose, as determined by the goals of your procedure. There are several options for fillers, each with its own advantages. Some of the more commonly used dermal fillers are:
Before your procedure, Dr Rizk will talk you through all of the options available and help you determine which is right for you.
If you have any of the above-listed complaints about your nose, Liquid Rhinoplasty may be a great option for you.
If you are in overall good health and don’t have any major health concerns (like cancer or heart disease) and generally have skin in good condition, you may be an excellent candidate. Being a non-smoker is ideal, as is being free of any infections or skin conditions.
Dr Rizk always recommends that you follow the National Law and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) guidelines and get a second opinion from another reputable healthcare provider. Any cosmetic procedure carries risks, so having a second opinion is advised before proceeding with any elective work. The best candidates also have good mental health and realistic expectations for the procedure. They know that no cosmetic procedure is going to “cure” any self-esteem or body image issues they may have.
These procedures are also temporary, so if you don’t like your new look, it will usually go away on its own after a few months. Liquid Rhinoplasty can be used in a variety of situations, including:
Your nose is the central feature of your face, so Dr Rizk will completely customise your procedure to meet your needs.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great option for people who only have minor changes they want to make, want to fill out work they’ve had done in the past, or just want to “sample” what a full rhinoplasty would look like for them. They are significantly less painful, dramatic, and costly than a typical rhinoplasty, and they require far less recovery time During your consultation with him at White Hill Clinic, make sure to let Dr Rizk know about all of your concerns with your nose. He wants you to be comfortable, so he will answer any question you have to put your mind at ease.
Once any redness or swelling has dissipated, you should notice the difference right away.
Your nose should appear more balanced and with smooth contours.
If you felt your nose was too small or crooked before, you should now see a nose that fits your face more evenly. It’s important to keep in mind that these dermal fillers are designed to work only as a temporary solution.
After nonsurgical rhinoplasty Sydney patients typically notice their results last between six and 24 months, depending on the type of filler used. So if you want to discuss more permanent options, Dr Rizk can help you with that, too.
Recovery from our Sydney non-surgical rhinoplasty is usually extremely easy. There can sometimes be some redness or swelling around the injection sites, but this typically subsides in a few days. Any residual pain is generally mild and doesn’t require medication. Some fillers require multiple treatment visits, so Dr Rizk will schedule any follow-up appointments necessary before you leave White Hill Clinic.
